Ordered takeaway yesterday, the food took approximately 50minutes for collection but it was absolutely worth the wait.

We ordered the chicken bryani and lamb saag with Naan bread. Came with a mint dip and a mango dip.

Everything was so delicious and such a nice change from fried beige takeaways!

Portion sizes were perfect for 2 and we even had some left for lunch (1 person)

Thank you to the guys in Koyla- we will definitely be ordering again!!!

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for such a lovely review! We’re really happy to hear that the wait was worth it and that you enjoyed the chicken biryani, lamb saag and naan.

It’s wonderful to know you loved the flavours, portions, and those little extras too! Your support means a lot to all of us at Koyla. We can’t wait to cook for you again soon!

Thanks,
Koyla Team

One of the worst experiences I have ever had till date. Went here to celebrate a friend's birthday party, ordered the full stack, wine, starters, main course and desserts. The starters and desserts were decent. Being Indian, we requested the food to be cooked Indian style medium spicy(more use of species and hotter than normal). The chef just put a lot of green chillies in the food (think 3-4 birds eye chillies per curry) which was unbearably hot and impossible for anyone to eat. Upon highlighting the issue the staff just said "you requested spicy" which was very rude. It just felt like they didn't want us back and we're rather trying to take our money and drive us away forever. It's a shame because the base of the curries was good and certainly could have been good food but how we were made to feel in the restaurant will be the reason I will never go back and will recommend any Indian person to do the same. I'm personally a big advocate of supporting Indian businesses so don't feel good writing this review but don't think they want to serve the Indian audience at all.

Response from the owner

Hi Mayank,

We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience, especially on a special occasion like a birthday celebration. That is certainly not the standard we aim to deliver.

After reviewing the situation internally, we understand that the dishes were prepared based on the request for a hotter spice level. Typically, we prepare our dishes to suit the Irish spice preference unless guests specifically request them to be made hotter. As per your request, the chef adjusted the spice level accordingly.

That said, we completely acknowledge that there is an important difference between balanced Indian-style spicy and simply making a dish overly hot. If the spice level was not aligned with your expectations, and if our response at the time felt dismissive, we sincerely apologise. That was never our intention.
.
Kind regards,
Team Koyla
